Yarborough`s Homemade Ice CRM in Sanford

I live in Durham, but our son and family recently moved to Sanford. Today was my first visit to Yarborough's, and I'll definitely go often. Excellent burger, divine onion rings and the BEST praline and cream ice cream I ever had. I am only 70 and might happen upon something better, but I doubt it!

Great home made ice cream and lots of flavors

all home made delicious fresh ice cream. I had fresh local strawberry's which tasted like fresh strawberries with cream made into a smoothie and frozen. YUM! we'll be back!

Amazing hometown icecream, tons of flavors, some of the best I've had! There is always a healthy crowd, but it is worth the wait. Also has a grill for food, but I haven't tried it yet.

Fantastic burgers and hot dogs. Friendly atmosphere. We have been coming here for 50 years. We left Sanford 45 years ago and return once a year to eat here while visiting family. Not a large place but the food, service, and friendly people makes Yarborough's a favorite stop for a quick meal.

We were looking for a local ice cream shop on our visit to Sanford. This place popped up. Looks like a quaint place that's been there for a long time. The milk shake tastes more like cold milk than a shake. 😢 save you money and go to S&Ts Soda Shop in Pittsboro.

Yarborough's immediately grabs your attention, from the outside, with its bold red and white awnings. Their environment within the store is not to be underestimated either. The employees are friendly, quick to smile, and yearning to please. A quick tour takes you on an adventure through time. Multiple artworks depicting the ice cream shop dot the walls. Their burgers are plain made to order. Be specific. They want to serve you well.

Simply yummy bacon cheeseburger, tasty onion rings, and superb ice cream. Add to that a historic building and you have yourself a wonderful date night. Even helped someone not lose their phone.

I went here for the first time with my fiance a month or two ago, I remember because shocked and horrified that someone could be so skilled at slinging the iced cream. I got all the chocolate they had and saying they where amazing would be a disservice. I highly recommend you go in and get some cream.

This place has a homey feel and reminds me of when I was a child I love the prices and I love the food

The ice cream is always spot on. New flavors were in the shop today. The caveats... The staff never seem to smile or offer any personality. Summer & weekends can be busy. And about half of my visits we have been approached by homeless sitting on benches outside for money or food.

This was a good meeting place for our families. It was 1/2 way between each of us and we couldn't have randomly selected a better place. borough's was all that it has been built up to be. We will look for an opportunity to return again!

They have the most amazing ice cream. The old fashioned soda-shop style ice cream parlors are becoming more rare. Fortunately, they are keeping it old fashioned here at Yarborough's. I love the peach and black cherry. The food is good, too.

Scrumptious homemade ice cream in many flavors. Take out tubs of ice cream available. Many kinds of food such as cheeseburgers and onion rings, at reasonable prices. Friendly staff, fast service, and old fashioned decor and ample places to sit.

Great home town atmosphere with good food at a reasonable price. This place is a frequently visited location for my family as it does have a great variety of ice cream to choose from. The location isn't too bad either as you are within walking distance of some neat and unique shops.

Food just doesn't taste the same anymore to me it seems everyone is making food the cheapest they can but overall nice place and people like always

Awesome value, tasty food. Don't spend $10 at McDonald's, spend $7-$8 here and enjoy heaping portions of freshly prepared food.Can't review this place without mentioning the ice cream. House made, tons to chose from, competitively priced and super tasty.

Delicious ice cream! Taste fresh and homemade. I got strawberry ice cream and my boyfriend got black walnut, which is often hard to find. We will drive back to Sanford for this. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Picked some food up on way home to Cary, still warm and delicious when I got in and ate. Love this place.

Great little hamburger, hot dog, and ice cream shop. Like stepping back into the 1960's. It's no wonder it has been around for so long. A local favorite. And don't forget to check out the 3D mural on the side of the building. It's what you might call - mooooooving

I'm glad that i don't live close because i would be there EVERY DAY. I live in PA but growing up, my parents would take me here every summer when it was time to visit family. This place is like a visual memory of my fun childhood. What makes it even better is that the food tastes EXACTLY the same as it did as a child!!! This place is awesome for so many reasons.

Good ice cream and milkshakes. They also serve food however we only tried the ice cream. Good service and lots of seating. There was a nice selection of ice cream flavors and the banana splits were huge. There was plenty of parking and also a couple of benches to sit outside and enjoy your good ole fashion ice cream

The hamburgers are very good so i bet everything they make is delicious. I had a cheeseburger and french fries. The place isn't fancy it is functional. They have a small area with tables in a small room off to your left as you walk in.Straight ahead is the grill. Where you place your order for food and to your right is the home made ice cream. Small and functional. Great food and home made ice cream.

Amazing ice cream and cheeseburgers. Don't come here unless your ready to eat! Priced very well and in a great location with a great place to eat outside or in the antique interior.

This is a great small town ice cream parlor. It has a ton of flavors and great shakes. It also has a grill serving American diner food.

An authentic old fashioned ice cream shop and a true gem in Sanford! Located in historic downtown and serving delicious ice cream as well as burgers and fries for generations!

This is a nice locally owned spot to stop for homemade ice cream. They have a lot of flavors to choose from. In my opinion they are pricey, but occasionally if we're already in downtown Sanford we'll hop over to Yarborough's for a milkshake or cone. We've also eaten regular food here for lunch and everything tasted alright. The inside facilities are old and outdated, but it has its own charm and I wouldn't want them to change it. I really like the cow mural outside of the building.I did deduct a star because some of their staff need an attitude adjustment. They weren't blatantly rude, but every time we have visited we've encountered at least one or two staff that act like they hate being here.

Long time spot for great homemade desserts. Really good burgers, hotdogs, corndogs and fries. Stop in and enjoy. :)
